Caney ag hosts contest

Starting the first agriscience hosting of this year at Caney on December 5, many CVHS members participated in many contests. Agriculture teacher Kimber Kiersey organized and took over holding the contests for Kansas school, Fort Scott because she “feels like the Western part of the district needs some events hosted out of it.” Kiersey was “already coordinating speech at Fort Scott Community College” and hosts speech, food science, and ag business contests. Kiersey enjoys hosting for her favorite part, seeing her community members step out and come together at times to invest in the future of ag.”  Many agriculture officers participated in events, including Jenna Wade with extemporaneous speech and Jalissa Jones in her Senior division speech.
