Jr. High Girls Basketball is off to a hot start, being 3-0 on the season so far. Last Thursday the girls went and played in Fredonia, winning their game. Out of the girls Forty-one point score, there was one player who had an outstanding game, 7th grader Ameris King-Dunn scoring 26 points she says, “I was excited about it and this was the most I’ve scored”. First-year assistant coach, Kendra Mecom says, “Everyone played great, we worked well together and our defensive game was on point.” She continued her sentence by saying how the team was a big part of Ameris’s scoring so well. 8th grader Aiva Price says, “The 7th graders this year try very hard and it influences what you to do the same.” To add to that Coach Mecom says, “The girls are a lot of fun and work hard every day” which goes alongside Price saying that she is “hopeful we will go undefeated”. The girls next game will be on January 5, 2023, at home against the Neodesha Bluestreaks.
